1961 Rambler American 440 2Door Convertible in excellent condition. Pearl White w/ Gray top. Currently appraised and insurance-replacement-valued at $15,000. There has been well over to $17,000 put into the car. Clean 6 cylinder (OHV) 195.6 cubic inch 3.2 liter engine, rebuilt starter, replaced fuel filter, engine and trans were rebuilt approximately 8 years ago. Perfect body, NO RUST - stripped down to the metal 8 years ago & applied a multi-coat $5000 paint job w/ custom pin stripping. Brakes were serviced 8 years ago. Rechromed all exterior parts. Clean trunk (missing weather stripping). Upholstery replaced 8 years ago (vinyl with cloth), Pioneer am / fm / cd player, gray carpeting. Convertible top and top motor replaced 8 years ago. Clean title. This rambler has been garaged since its full restoration 8 years ago. Odometer reads 58536 but I don't know if that is actual or if it is more. This car was one of 10,855 made in the U.S. and Canada. I've mostly used this car for weekend drives, car shows, and parades.
