1985 BMW 325i

1985 BMW 325e coupe 5-speed, 6-cylinder, 130K miles, leather interior. Parts or whole. Motor runs strong, needs brakes, battery, misc other work. VIN: WBAAB5405F9509962. The hood is open in some of the pictures because we had the hood open and didn't close it all the way. The hood is hard to close though. The body has rust.

While this vehicle runs, the brakes are bad and last time we moved it were dragging on the one of the rear wheels. The steering is hard. There is a slight shimmy in front end 55-65 MPH (tire?). Shifter bushing is loose and is difficult to get into reverse when cold.

It was a daily driver for the previous owner's wife but it has not been driven regularly for 1+ years. Work done by the previous owner (he estimated $2K 2003-05)- replaced: exhaust from the manifold to the tailpipe; driveshaft w/ both u-joints - an upgrade that uses GM u-joints; the guibo joint (rubber disk that connects the transmission to the driveshaft); the front hub assemblies (bearings are integral).

We bought this car for the drivetrain but have since sold our other one. We didn't drive it or think about fixing it up or consider the repairs it might need. It's priced to sell as a parts vehicle - strictly as is condition: We're not able to look at getting it road-ready or otherwise working on it; we don't have a good estimate of what it would take to put it back on the road.
