---SOLD---West Coast Classics are proud to present an absolutely exceptional example of this original southern California and completely rust free coveted original California 'black license plate' 1965 Buick Riviera 401/325HP 'LT' code V8 coupe with rare original factory options of bucket seats, center console with floor shifter, air conditioning, power driver seat, power brakes, power windows, power antenna, tilt steering wheel, original 'Sonomatic' Buick radio and with it's original matching # 401ci/325HP 4 barrel engine with only 140K original miles!

Finished in it's original factory 'Silver Cloud' color paint with it's original factory black vinyl bucket seats, completely original interior with center console and floor shifter and original styled steel wheels. Purchased by original southern California owner from 'Jim Childs Buick' of Whittier, Los Angeles, California on 11/17/1965 with original owner's manual and rare and highly desirable Protecto-plate and Specifications booklets still available and to be included in the sale of the car which has obviously always garaged and covered since new! The floor boards, trunk and all the typical rust-prone areas are completely solid and rust-free and the car has no signs of any accidents - obviously a garaged and cherished southern California driver only.

The car looks extremely impressive with a very decent but older re-paint in it's original factory 'Silver Cloud' color paint and the black interior is in exceptional and completely original condition throughout with virtually no imperfections noticeable! The dashboard woodwork, the dashboard itself, the original light gray headliner, the carpets and all the seats are in absolutely exceptional condition with virtually no signs of wear and tear! All the chrome-work is also in exceptional condition and the original spare wheel and jack is located in it's compartment in the trunk. Please note that the trunk has its original lining which is worn (see photos below).

The original matching # 401cid/325HP 'LT' code 4 barrel engine is extremely strong and powerful and this particular car drives absolutely magnificently - must be driven to be believed - drives straight as an arrow with no strange road wobbles, shakes or rattles - a truly remarkable daily driver that will give any modern day sports car a run for it's money! The car has power windows, power driver seat, air conditioning, dual exhausts and it's original 'Buick' AM radio with a power antenna. The transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears, there are no noticeable oil leaks and the temperature always remains cool!

Owned for almost forty years by its original southern California and 'Riviera Owners Association' owner - never raced or abused - babied all the way! The car was sold to its previous southern California owner in 11/2002 and the car will be sold with all its original documentation and recent service records showing that at no time was any expense spared on this particular vehicles preventive maintenance.

A car for Buick's most affluent customers, reflecting the styling supremo of Bill Mitchell with a masterful blend of curves and razor-edges respected by an army of industrial designers as an architectural landmark of the U.S industry and which has high repute amongst collectors for both it's beautiful lines and smooth fast performance for a luxury coupe.
