1960  Cadillac  Coupe 4X4  
1960 Cadillac…an outrageously cool custom 4X4. Have you ever seen a Cadillac like this one? It’s a 1960 Cadillac, Series 62 coupe on a 4X4 frame. The frame and drive line is from an International powered with a Ford 460 engine. This car was conceived and begun over fifteen years ago. It is unfinished and just needs someone who thinks it is as cool as I do but with more time on their hands. Most of the hard work is done, of course, as you can see by the pictures. The finishing touches will include getting the motor to run which does not turn over from sitting so long and lots of reassembly. No doubt the brakes will need attention. The paint is pretty nice and could be used as is if you aren’t a really concerned about a show appearance. Currently the car has some minor rust but is overall very solid for its age. The connection has been made to the transfer case from the engine and the steering is hooked up. The original car was quite nice and solid. The trunk floor is excellent, but there is scattered underbody rust which is miner and repairable. The floors are also cut up to permit the frame to support the car and some sheet metal boxing will need to be done to enclose the frame rails. The windshield has a bulls-eye chip and a wiper scratch but is very nice especially for its age with no smoking at the edges. The side glass is smoked or broken and cheap to replace at any glass company that carries automotive flat glass. The back glass is excellent. The dash is cracked but a dash cover is available for $100. The interior is all there and needing recovering but solid structurally. The back seat is out of a 59 four door caddy but should suffice. The bumpers are faded but solid and could be re-chromed or they would look excellent painted which was my plan. I have all the chrome trim that you don’t see which will go with the car. The only thing I don’t have are the body mid-line side moldings sometimes called rub rails. Feel free to call me, Eric, at 920-205-0013.
