1950  Cadillac  Hearse

This is a 1950 Cadillac Endloader hearse built by Superior Coachworks. The following is a complete description of the current condition of the vehicle and is ROUGH, but has the potential become a serious hot rod or street rod. Engine and transmission goes, it has NONE. The last time this car was tagged (in Oklahoma) was in 1971. Since that time, it has sat in various farmer’s fields and driveways as a project to be built. I bought the vehicle to build into a 50’s Kustom, however, I’m also starting up a custom car shop here in North Texas and need to sell off my cars to get working capital. For those who are interested in the vehicle and wanting to have it professionally built, I can give an estimate of TOTAL cost.

Left front fender has a major dent (easily repaired with hammer and dolly work)

Left outer rocker panel needs a complete replacement – will need to be custom made as this is a custom built coach

Unsure as to the rear floorboards, but the passenger compartment needs for board work and repair to it.

Both rear doors (suicide doors) need to have hinge work done to them in order to allow them to close properly and easily.

Left and right rear inner fender/1/4 panels need patch panels as well as the lower portion of the outer ¼ panel needing rust repair (patch panels).

Grille and both bumpers need some minor dent repair completed and ALL chrome needs to be re-chromed.

Stainless steel trim needs to be buffed and polished to bring back to new condition

Right outer rocker panel needs to be straightened at middle of front door.

Right front door needs to have dent repairs made, but is quite repairable.

Right rear door needs both dent repair and rust repair and again is quite repairable.

Right rear ¼ panel needs dent repair above the wheel opening and where rear bumper comes around.

Dent repair is needed to rear door (where casket slides in).

Fender skirts are missing (can be fabricated or purchased)

The ONLY glass still left in the vehicle is the rear cargo glass and front wing windows. There is a broken piece of glass in the right rear door which could be used as a template for those pieces. The windshield and rear door glass can be purchased or cut special by a competent glass company.
