For sale in our Chicago showroom is a classic 1950 Cadillac Series 62 2-Door Coupe. Cadillac fins were still in their infancy in 1950 after having only come about in 1948 and were beginning to become synonymous with the brand itself. Not only was the style ahead of its time but the high mounting of the brake lights also made braking more visible and cleverly hid the fuel filler under the right side. The entire car had clean lines, a high roof line with great visibility and plenty of chrome and stainless trim.
On the interior of this classy white beauty you will see a striking red leather interior finished in premium hides and made to replicate the original style. The entire dash and all interior chrome pieces have been restored and re-chromed and wood grain painting was added to accent the already beautiful dash and door panels. All new glass and seals have been added to finish up this impressive resto-mod that is built with comfort and convenience in mind.This car sits on a '76 Cadillac Fleetwood chassis and interestingly enough did not need additional cutting or fabrication as all of the mounts lined up perfectly. The engine has had a very extensive and high quality rebuild and runs on 87-89 octane fuel. A new heavy duty starter was added as was an electronic ignition, aluminum radiator with billet overflow tank, dual high-volume cooling fans that are thermostatically controlled and a new 12 volt wire harness.
