I am selling a 1955 Chevy 2 door post 210del ray sedan. All custom chassis work was done by Bob's Race Car Chassis a 9" ford rear end narrowed 61.5" with a 325 rear gear and a posi chunk (a real one not a redneck posi) installed and 4 wheel disk brakes as well. The Car has a 1986 corvette suspension, new body bushings, also a new rack and pinion steering, new booster and master cylinder, and new shocks. The eyebrow on the driver-side of the car is bad so I bought 2 new ones for both sides also the Quarter quarters (between the rear wheel and the door was damaged) so I bought 2 new ones just did not install them. The body was sanded very carefully as to not get panels hot and allow them to warp (that takes a hell of a long time to do)Also a window channels were wire wheel cleaned. The body was taken to bare metal and shot with PPG DP402 a 2-part epoxy sealer. The underside (Frame and Rear End and underside of car) has been painted with Epoxy paint. Due to health problems I am forced to sell although I an in no hurry to do so. I do have the bumpers, the interior, and the tail lights, just no Engine or Transmission. I also had the driver and passenger side floor pans replaced along with the floor pan in the trunk. I’ve owned the car for some years now. I sent the car to the Chassis shop and sunk just over 10k worth of custom chassis work alone I had the shop install 3/16” steel pockets inside Frame to strengthen and align the rear end. The end result was perfect alignment and we are able to run an 11” tire without tubbing or cutting on the body (also gives the car a nice stance). I had intended to drop a 383 stroker motor with a 700r4 automatic transmission. My wife wants me to sell the vehicle and get a nice motor home or a travel trailer. I do have all the trim and the stainless on the sides, but the felt strips on the door glass were just worn out and the glass has that cloudy appearance (after all the car is 50+ years old). I do have a new windshield and a rubber seal. Danchuk has every part for the 55, 56, and 57 Chevy’s, you can call them for a catalog of all the parts on the tri-five Chevy’s or check them out on the internet. They stock every part, nut, bolt and washer. They are a Great resource for a restoration on the old shoe-box Chevy’s.
