The 1955 Chevrolet is one of the most popular and best designs General Motors ever built and even 60 years later its popularity grows stronger yearly. This sedan is restored in the most desired fashion which is a beautiful driver just under show quality. The exterior and interior maintain their originality but with just the right upgrades for looks and comfort.
Body sheet metal is straight, body gaps are very good, doors close effortlessly and being a California car it is extremely solid. Paint is metallic burgundy and white in the factory paint scheme with good sheen and only color sanding and buffing from near show quality paint. All bright work, emblems and light lens are fresh looking and tinted glass looks as new without chips, cracks, or wiper marks.
The dash is beautifully restored with a VDO gauge pod including speedometer and four gages where the originals were. The metal band that runs the width of the dash is polished and new looking. The chrome glove box along with the ash tray and polished steering column, with custom steering wheel, makes it one of the prettiest dashes you will find in a 1955 Chevy. The original seats have been upholstered in what appears to be leather and the custom door panels have the Chevy emblem in them. The rest of the interior, carpet, headliner, etc. look new. Interior options include A/C, tilt wheel, and AM/FM cassette.
The engine is a 350 CI with electronic ignition, 4 bolt mains, and double hump heads. Engine dress up includes polished aluminum valve covers, breather, and battery hold down plus chrome alternator. Power steering and power disc front and drum rear brakes makes this Chevy a dream to drive. The 700 R automatic, four speed over drive transmission makes it cruise effortlessly at expressway speeds.
