1952 Chevrolet 3100 Five Window ½ ton pickup that is fully restored, a "Wedding Truck" just used for our good friend's daughter's wedding to bring the Bridesmaids to the ceremony on September 22, 2007, great presentation as they came over the hill to the beautiful wedding and reception in North Georgia (SEE LINK), a effort is made to produce a top driven show condition vehicle that has wonderful 'eyes', the bright Red base coat/clear coat paint is just finished, all new chrome, grill, bumpers, mirrors, script, new period wide white wall bias-ply tires, new wheels, trim rings, hubcaps, this beautiful truck has just been finished for Fall 2007 to make sure the mechanicals work great, this is a fresh restoration that is now ready for Winter 2007 to make sure it drives as well as it looks, the rebuilt engine is a 250cid unit that looks just like the 235cid size, excellent compression, (SEE LINK), brand new clutch, the 3 speed transmission has the correctly mated fully synchronized in first gear, fresh braking system that is just restored front and rear by Fraser Dante (SEE LINK), oak show wood bed, a wonderful 5 window example of one of the most popular collector vehicles that was designed by Chevrolet's Advance Design team starting in 1947 and ended with the First Series 1955, this most famous pickup that has this design featured on the cover and pages 40-3 of CHEVROLET PICKUP COLOR HISTORY published in 1994, nicely detailed underchassis, a nice #2 overall as a slightly driven show vehicle, the paint is has really great luster, recent paint in 2007 with final buffing and finishing just completed, all steel, the cab has optional white piping, all the steel is excellent with the magnet sticking virtually everywhere, great cab corners, the fenders, hood and bed are really very, very straight, to the best of our knowledge, the bed is a new steel unit with great sides and the nice tailgate, the correct running boards are also steel, hard to find this era with such good steel and no signs of rust, correct running boards in the black color with the 'Chevrolet' stainless step plates, the great look to the truck has the full optional chrome package includes chrome front bumper, chrome rear bumper, full front grill, blue lettered chrome Chevrolet hub caps, new chrome trim rings, stock chrome new left and right side mirrors, redone headlight bezels, headlights work, all the side 3100 chrome trim is new; great effort is made for this very smooth running Chevrolet 250cid 6 cylinder is rebuilt, one can tell as the compression is excellent from 148 to 151 lbs across, (SEE LINK) works perfectly, looks as stock, all new spark plugs and plug wires, belts, hoses and clamps are just replaced, rebuilt single barrel carburetor just installed to make sure this delivers fuel smoothly, a steel line for the accelerator is then fabricated to make sure for a good pedal response, nicely detailed engine compartment in October '07, to make sure that driving would be excellent, a brand new clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing just installed and the flywheel turned, the clutch road then made to work well, has the single aluminized exhaust system with new muffler, to make sure that this drives well on the road and eliminate vibration, even the driveshaft was just taken out and completely rebuilt, (SEE LINK), fresh bearings and full balancing, then in late Fall 2007, work by Fraser Dante included the shift linkage work that took knowledge to make sure it shifts well on the column, all of this work makes the running condition exceptionally smooth, 12 volt electrical system installed with desirable turn signals for safety, the battery is moved under the hood for easy access and maintenance, the oak bed was just sanded, finished the proper varnish, good headlights, stock speedometer, fuel gauge works, dual rear taillights with chrome surround bezels, white Chevrolet lettering on rear tailgate, new chains on gate, nice glass with new front and rear glass new rubber around glass, the interior is stock seat with a uprated cover, has leather and stock door panels, interior handles, good headliner, wheels are brand new steel 15" steel from Coker painted body color, chrome Chevrolet center cap with Blue lettering, chrome trim rings, B.F.Goodrich 6.70x15 3 5/8s wide whitewall tires just installed with balance weights in the inside, OR one can chose the wheels and tires that were on the truck when found by Fraser Dante, these are red Chevrolet wheels with Goodyear 215/70/15 radial narrow band whitewall tires that have hubcaps to fit, these tires make the truck handle better than the bias ply tire (SEE LINK), there is lots of effort and knowledge was used to make the full braking system is just finished, Fraser Dante included the master cylinder, for both the front and the rear, this features all new shoes, redone drums, rebuild brake hardware kit, brake cylinders, again, with the high, usable gear rear end, this truck can cruise to shows better than the low geared stock rear end gear, the underchassis and frame of this truck is very clean, shows all the fresh restoration, frame is painted black, all cleaned underneath, history shows this is a restoration that started with one man, went to a father and son team who painted it without even buffing, then found by Fraser Dante who purchased Fall 2007 because it was all steel everywhere, new rubber trim insulation is just put around the doors, great effort for top mechanicals just completed makes this a fun, classic vehicle with 'Great Eyes', $24,950
