**SOLD** 1959 Chevrolet Apache 31 short stepside bed with the desirable big back window. This truck completed a 3 year frame off restoration to original specifications in July 2003 and has approximately 9000 miles since that time. The truck is all new top to bottom. Original 283 V8 engine completely rebuilt with all new parts, bored .030, original 2 bbl carb rebuilt, hardened valve seats for use with unleaded gas, new water and fuel pump, new radiator, new gas tank, new stainless steel brake and fuel lines, new fuel, brake, and cooling hoses. 3 on the tree transmission with new bearings installed, new clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing. Original 3.90:1 rear end. Frame and suspension components completely rebuilt and coated with POR-15, new wire harness from front to rear, all new rubber mounts, new window and door rubber and felt, all new glass except for rear window which is the original and in good condition. New Southern Yellow Pine bed wood painted satin black as original with all new stainless steel bed strips and mounting hardware. Interior redone using original color scheme and reproduction original pattern fabrics, new headliner, arm rests, sunvisors, and rubber floor mat. All of the body panels are original except the tailgate which is new reproduction. Truck has been repainted its original white using acrylic enamel. Over $30,000 invested in this solid built and reliable truck which was driven from east coast of USA to west coast round trip in June 2004. This is a rare original specification truck and not a hotrod/streetrod truck. It is an original California desert truck that I have owned since 1974 and am the third owner. There is some documentation with the truck and I have the old California title and original black tags that were on the truck when I purchased it. The truck is currently licensed in the state of Georgia in the USA and is garaged. This truck is only driven or entered in shows during nice weather and is not taken out during wet weather. The truck has won several show trophies and awards. Truck is NOT PERFECT 100 point truck and still has issues. Sale at asking price includes lots of extras, NOS parts and hard to find accessories.
