This 1959 Apache Street Rod pick up is sure to turn heads anywhere it goes. This beauty is powered by a 327 cubic inch block rated at 325 hp which came from a ’68 Corvette. Both the engine and turbo 350 tranny were completely rebuilt in 2005 and they both have just under 10,000 miles on them since. The rear end is a new Ford 9” with 3:55 gears which was added in the spring of 07. The engine was built with all the right stuff including an Edelbrock 600 cfm carb with electric choke, an aluminum intake and a streetable Comp Cam. The exhaust is handled with Jet Hot coated headers that are connected to Flowmaster 40 series mufflers. The interior was given a new headliner, carpet, door panels and arm rests in 2005. A modern touch was added to this truck with the addition of a CD player with amplified antenna and dual speaker boxes surrounded by hand painted pin-striping by “Voodoo Larry”. Exterior work includes new front tires, hood hinges, grill and front bumper, hidden tailgate latches and new cab corners and rockers. Other extras include tri bar headlights, Quick Wire custom wiring, dimmer switch, cruise control and a rear roll pan with ’48 Chevy taillights. A complete tune-up was just done on this truck and it will come with a full tank of gas. This truck is very dependable and has been driven to Indy, Des Moines and the Madison Good Guys show with no problems at all.
