2005 Chevrolet Avalanche -Joe Gibbs

This 2005 Avalanche was the 416th of 700 trucks Joe Gibbs Performance modified from 2004 to 2006 and is certified by a limited production dash plaque. This 2005 4 wheel drive Avalanche is a rare conversion due to the fact most of the vehicles modified were Silverados, and Tahoes. The heart of this package includes the Gibbs / Magnuson designed supercharged intercooler, an Eaton Gen V “Hybrid root” system, a Superchip’s computer program and a transmission servo kit. All said and done this baby puts out 395 hp with 425 foot lbs of torque. The Joe Gibbs performance package also adds a Gibbs designed Corsa cat back exhaust system with dual custom chrome tips, Gibbs designed custom 20” hyper silver rims, 275/55R20 Goodyear Eagle LS tires and 14” Baer cross drilled and slotted rotors. The front suspension was lowered 2 inches and has torsion bar adjusters. The rear was lowered 3 inches with new coil springs. The shocks are by Ground Force, who was responsible for fabricating the completely tuned suspension based upon Gibbs design. Additionally the exterior has a custom body colored rear bumper cover, a custom Gibbs designed front end with fog lamps and the sail panels and grille surround are body colored as well. The interior includes a Joe Gibbs designed gauge cluster and a limited production (no. 416) dash plaque. The custom Joe Gibbs designed charcoal grey leather and suede seats and floor mats are embroidered with the JGP logo and JGP die cast badges adorn the exterior. The truck was titled to Joe Gibbs performance on 1/01/05 and driven by Dave Lund, their Midwest regional manager. The current owner purchased the truck on 4/27/05 with 8,038 miles on it. It currently has 26,351 miles with a factory warranty that expires 01/05/08 or at 36,000 miles. This beauty is powered by a Flex Fuel Vortec 5300 5.3L V8, it has independent front wheel suspension and a 4 speed automatic transmission with tow/haul mode. This Avalanche has the convert-a-cab featuring midgate as well as a 3 piece rigid composite cargo cover and removable rubber mat. The bed has a locking tailgate, cargo area tie downs, and two lockable rear top storage boxes built in. Other extra include a custom front license plate frame, Amp Research power pivoting running boards, heated mirrors, tilt steering, power locks, power windows, Onstar, cruise control, autotrack 4WD with manual settings, HD trailering equipment and a rear locking differential with a 4.10 gear ratio.
