1970 Chevrolet Bel Air Townsman
Rare 1970 Chevy Belair Townsman longroof with good running 350 c.i. motor and even rarer 3-speed on the column transmission. Very straight body with only a couple of minor dents and scratches here and there....mostly on the tailgate....and surface rust on the top, hood and front fenders, but only one tiny, finger-nail-sized, through- the-metal rust hole in one of the lower rear quarter panels. The exterior of this car would be an very easy restoration, but the interior would be even easier, as, other than a few rips in the driver's seat and carpet that needs to be replaced, it's nearly perfect. I have a pile of repair receipts from the original owner, which, along with the amazing condition this car is in, leads me to believe that the 63,670 miles may be original. I've also recently added a new clutch, starter and exhaust manifold cross-over pipe, so this his car could be easily be a daily driver and, in fact, I drive it on a regular basis. It's got tinted glass, good tires and, as far as I can tell, the only things that don't work are the speedometer, the radio and the roll down, rear tailgate handle.
