1954 CHEVROLET BEL AIR GASSER
This 1954 Chevrolet Bel Air Gasser will be one of the coolest cars at the local cruise ins this summer. Built to look like a drag race car from the 50’s or 60’s but built to drive on the street and steers and handles well. Based on information from previous owner and belief, this was a rust free car to begin with that underwent a frame off restoration. The BelAir trim has been shaved and the rear wheels have been radiused. The Exterior of the car is nice, including paint, glass and bright work. The interior is new with lightweight racing seats and seat belts.
The Billett steering column has a removable racing steering wheel. The dash is nice with an under dash switch panel and a Sun brand 8,000 R.P.M. tach .The gasser is powered by a good smooth running stock sounding 305 Iroc , 4 barrel carb , V-8 engine with a fresh built turbo 350 automatic transmission with heavy duty clutch plates and shift kit. The shifter is a Hurst ¼ stick, the differential is a new Auburn Posi unit. The engine compartment is dressed up with an aluminum fire wall , intake , valve covers, and custom battery box, billet water pump and crankshaft pulleys , radiator fan with stainless steel blades and chrome breather, front shocks and A arms. Jet coated fender well header that exhaust behind rear tire and are baffled to allow for street use. Underneath the car is nice and looks good and fresh with 5” ladder bars and front straight axel kit. The cruiser runs on 5 spoke alum weld wheels with front tires being 165/80/15 and rears being Mickey Thompson ET Street 275/60/15. Stops very well due to the4 wheel disc brakes.
