Up for sale in our Tampa showroom is this chopped Rat-Rod. Built off a 1969 C10 chassis, this rod is a true head turner at the show. The Chassis has been custom built from 2x2 square stock to house in the small block 350 CID V8, built with custom short tube exhaust headers that are fanned upwards for that truly unique look. To transfer the small block power to the wheels, this car comes equipped with a Turbo 400 automatic transmission, bolted to a Chevy 10-bolt rear end. To keep this horsepower planted to the street are a set of radial tires mounted on Vintage steel rims. The front end was built off a Split Wishbone from a 1948 Ford with original radius arm suspension. The transmission cooler is a nice touch, being built completely from copper tubing designed to look like a moonshine distiller. The design is extremely functional, as it cools transmission fluid through the coils as air passes around them. For the styling of this vehicle, it was built true to the Rat Rod ideals, from the flat black paint, to the accents of green on the body, wheels and even the horn. The windshield was actually crafted from custom cut green tinted Plexiglas. Under the car, it has been fitted with LED’s to give it a sleek style at night. In the front, the grill was pulled from a 50’s era Willy’s Jeep, The Body was built from a 1941 Chevy Pickup, The seatback was built from a 50’s era Chevy Apache and the dashboard was pulled from a 1941 Chevy Pickup. The bed was lined in freshly installed wood paneling, with an aluminum fuel cell mounted inside. For finishing touches, both tail lights were custom built black skull housings, with LED brake lights, and hanging chains to mount a license plate. Options include a Chevy small block 350, Turbo 400 Automatic Transmission, Radial Tires, Vinyl seat, and a Chevy 10-bolt rear end.
