1970 1/2 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28
Other Versions Certainly Had Their Strong Points, But The 1970 Camaro Z28 Was The Best All-Around Z28 Ever Built. It Was A Muscle Car That Had Come Into Its Own. The 1970 Z28 Was The First Year Of The Second Generation Body Style And Featured A New Engine: 350 Cubic Inches With An Additional 70 Horsepower Making A Total Of 360 Horsepower! This Is Any Collector's Dream That Will Only Appreciate With Time.
We do not buy or offer any fake or non-original documentation for our vehicles. This Z28 does not have a build sheet or protecto-plate. As you can see in the pictures the trim tag, 150 mph speedometer, 6500 redline tach, and Z28 floor mounted pedal are all correct and original. We do not claim this to be a numbers matching drivetrain but no expense was spared when finding the replacement date coded LT1 and M21 4-speed transmission.

9.7 to 1 forged pistons. Steel forged crank. Childs & Albert moly file fit rings. Durabond cam bearings. Forged pink rods. ARP wavelock rod bolts. Clevite bearings tri-metal 77 rod and main. Crane muscle car custom hi output cam lifter set. Cloyes roller set. Comp cams cam locks. Comp cams xe chrome pushrods. Dyna gear race oil pump. Dyna gear pickup. ARP steel drive. OE oil pan. OE timing cover. ARP head bolts, ARP rocker studs. Fel Pro blue gasket set.
64CC 2.02 1.60 “186” heads with screw in studs guide plates. Severe duty 2.02/1.60 valves. 1.45 springs. 10 degree super locks. 3/8 studs. Chrome moly retainers. Mild port work. High performance roller rockers- 1.6 ratio.
Cam specs- 110 center line 488-488 lift. 224/226 duration at 050. No stall. Great power range. Lopey idle. Streetable power.
Everything under the hood is new. All belts, hoses, chrome alternator, starter, fan, shroud, radiator, hei ignition, 2 ˝” exhaust with dual Flowmasters, ceramic coated headers, carburetor, plug wires, plugs, wire looms, valve covers, air cleaner, water pump, power brake booster, master cylinder, crank pulley, power steering pulley, water pump pulley, heater core, heater blower motor, heater box cover, fuel tank, sending unit, washer jar, steering box, power steering pump, all brackets, thermostat housing, chrome radiator support, battery, all cables have been replaced. That is just a fraction of the receipts that come with this beautiful beast for the engine compartment.
Professionally built M21 4-speed transmission built by the Wright Connection featuring a two (2) year warranty. New Hurst 4-speed shifter. New driveshaft. 12 Bolt Rear-end. 3.73 Gears.
Exterior:
The original Camaro Gold with Black Z28 stripes paint scheme was changed to Shadow Gray bc/cc with Black Z28 stripes. The body is extremely straight as shown in the pictures. The paint looks very nice. Five (5) coats of clear have been applied to give it a deep glossy shine. The right fender, left fender, and front valance were replaced with Goodmark metal. A 3” steel cowl hood was added. No expense was spared when dealing with the exterior appearance of this car. Some of the new parts are as follows: Front spoiler, window felt kit, all lenses and lens assemblies, fuel tank and braces, all bumper brackets, front and rear bumpers, bumper bracket cushions, all lens gaskets, headlight rings, headlight bezels, door handles and gaskets, trunk lock and gasket, door locks, hood hinges and springs, new grille, all Z28 emblems, remote driver’s mirror, passenger mirror, mirror gaskets, cowl vent screen, drip rail moldings, door window moldings, window retainers, all trim, ect…
The undercarriage was cleaned, primed, and painted.
The five spoke Z28 wheels were sandblasted, primed, and painted. The tires, beauty rings, center caps, lug nuts were also replaced.
The brakes including all lines, hoses, discs, pads, and shoes were replaced.
Interior:
The list of new parts continues with the interior. The 711 coded Standard Black interior was completely overhauled with attention paid to every detail. New parts include: carpet, seat covers (front and rear), all door panels, dash pad, glove box lock, all pedal pads, ignition and door lock set, lower dash column cover, lower and upper shifter boot, new Hurst shifter, door jamb vent grilles, window cranks, arm rests, headliner, dome light, kick panels, rear sail panels, rear view mirror, lower instrument dash trim panel, package tray, rear seat/trunk divider, interior door handles, interior door handle cups, sill plates, glove box liner, glove box door, steering wheel, sun visors, full weatherstrip kit, dash carrier bezel, am radio, heater control unit, all cables, wiring harnesses, ect…
