| This sweet driver was just listed on eBay with a $4,500 opening bid and absolutely No Reserve! To bid on eBay item # 261212874447 go to the following url: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=261212874447* Dubbed a “Driver’s Car” by GM engineers, the second generation Camaro was produced from 1970 through 1981. It was longer, wider and lower than the first generation Camaro and was also referred to as a Super Hugger. This was all a result of the fact that the 2nd gen cars benefited from a much greater budget which was justified by the success of the first generation. This particular example started out with a 250ci 6 cylinder engine that was replaced with a much more powerful 350ci V8 with a four bolt main from a newer Chevy pick-up. Before it was installed in 2004 the engine was bored .030 over and completely rebuilt using a new crank, new pistons, an Elgin performance cam and an Edelbrock carb was installed. At that same time a freshly rebuilt T-350 tranny and 10 bolt rear end were also installed. The drive line currently has just over 20,000 miles on it and the car has just over 122,000 miles total. It was repainted in its original color of Red (75) in the late nineties and the paint is of driver quality. There are a few minor imperfections in the body that would be an easy fix should you want to take this car to the next level by repainting it again. If your looking for a fun driver the only thing this car really is in immediate need of are new seat covers for the front two seats. It drives incredibly well and sounds just plain nasty ripping through its Flowmaster performance exhaust system. You will also find a nice high power sound system with a sub and 760 watt amp in the trunk in addition to set of aluminum wheels with newer tires. The original rally rims are also included as pictured. In summary, this car would be a great daily driver or perfect candidate for a resto-mod. What ever your interest is we have priced it to move and are considering offers! For more pictures and a video of the engine running visit HotRodsChoppers.com SOLD |
