This 1992 Chevrolet Camaro z28 is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. 1992 marked the final year of the 3rd gen Camaro. Originally planned to have a 25th Anniversary Heritage Edition option which included a 6 speed manual Trans, tubular exhaust, and a set of aluminum heads borrowed from the Vette. Scared that this option would possibly take away from Corvette sales the idea was scrapped and the 25th Anniversary package wound up being nothing more than a graphics package and rally stripes. This correct all original z28 is the way it left factory in 92 which is a rare thing to find these days. Most of these cars have either been wrecked by incompetent drivers or just simply drove hard and blew up. This Z still has its original 5.7 TPI motor which was good for 245 HP while the torque at 3200 was a staggering 345. The probably most distinct and option was the massive wing which still looks cool to this day. The front end is just as menacing with its tucked away horizontal fog lights and dual hood blisters, it looks absolutely menacing when in your rearview. The interior like the rest of the car is original and looks great with the leather seats giving just enough side bolster to keep you in the seat. The back hatch is in great condition with the hydraulic close too operating as it should. The sun cover is still in place and even works which is another one of those things that just don’t come along to often. The wheels are the classic 5 spoke design that were actually made specifically to accommodate the new ground effects package which still looks great even today. Given the fact that this Z28 does classify itself under a classic and just two years will become an actual antique which should drive the value even higher. Add to that this is a last year run as well as a 25th anniversary model and it is clear to see that this Camaro has yet to see its full investment potential.
