For sale in our Chicago showroom is this beautifully restored 1969 Chevrolet Camaro. The first generation Camaro is an American icon, and with good reason. This particular example has a freshened up 396 CID big block Chevrolet engine churning out a massive 425 horsepower. From the factory this car would have had the gears handled by a Muncie 4-speed, but this Camaro was upgraded to a 5-speed manual transmission from Borg-Warner. All of that power is put to the ground thanks to the 12-bolt rear end and the set of 3.73:1 ring gears inside. The interior has been fully restored in a houndstooth pattern and black theme. The dash is crack-free, very few still are, and the gauges have all been restored or replaced. The exterior is covered in five full coats of “Cortez Silver” paint. After the silver, but before the four coats of clear coat, a layer of “Tuxedo Black” stripes were applied. The factory-style rims and tires hide a set of Wilwood brakes up front attached to tubular upper and lower control arms. A vintage air system keeps you cool in the cabin on the hotter days, and the top goes down on the milder days. Options include: air-conditioning, power windows, power brakes, AM/FM radio, cloth interior, convertible top, power seats, power steering, radial tires, and tilt/telescopic wheel.
