For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a classic, first generation 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle SS. 1964 was the 1st production year for the Chevelle, which ended its production run in 1977, and was one of Chevrolet's most popular models. The Chevelle SS was Chevrolet's entry into the muscle car wars. Born in Kansas City, Kansas at the Chevrolet Chevelle assembly plant, this Super Coupe (2-door hardtop) Chevelle features a 327 CID V8 and a 350 Turbo transmission. A 3:42 Posi-Traction 12 bolt rear end helps transfer the power to the rear wheels. Options on this 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle include: AM/FM Radio, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Radial Tires, and Rally Wheels. Finished in a new coat of Light Rich Metallic Blue paint in August of 2014 that coincides beautifully with the black vinyl interior which features bucket seats and a console floor shifter. The new AM/FM radio puts out 240 watts that power the dual rear speakers. In 2013 the 327 CID V8 was rebuilt with aluminum heads, 292 competition cam, Edlebrock Torker intake manifold, Holley 600 CFM carburetor, and wrapped Hooker Headers. An MSD solid state ignition system has also been added for enhanced performance. Power steering and front power disc brakes make this 64' Chevelle a breeze to drive. The Chevrolet Silver Rally wheels have been enlisted to complete the classic look.
