Submitted for your consideration is this stunner of a survivor with 25k original miles in literal exceptional condition that I'm sure your inspection or the most discerning inspector will bear out. While I am not representing this as a Concours example there's no mistake that You will find no "fluff" in the spirit of fairly representing everything known about this beautiful car in the spirit of transparency to find its next home. The reality is there very simply is little to no needs apart from what is outlined below:
Certainly the marketplace is flooded with beautiful C3 examples of all kinds, but my trust is you will find good value in the condition of this one that will likely offer you a reasonable return on your investment when the time comes if kept in the same care as its current Owner.
If you knew the story of this Vette from new, an argument could be made that technically this is a "2-owner vehicle" since it was sold inter-family by the original buyer. One pair of brothers sold to another brother etc. This is at worst a 4-owner vehicle.
Perhaps more rare still for the uninitiated is that only 17% of all 1980 C3 examples produced were a 4 speed; that's about 1 in 6.
EXTERIOR: The exterior Code 10 white finish is stock original retaining good brilliance and care over its 25k mile-life. Panel alignment is good with no signs of damage short of select (2 or 3) small stone chips that have been touched up seamlessly and are largely indiscernable. These exist at left front fender and right side mid-point edge of hood. Otherwise, all parts are present and in good working condition. All lights work as they should. All trim is in excellent cared-for condition. No Chips is Glass. No wear marks in any fiberglass panels. The mirrored glass T-tops were a premium option. These do not leak or rattle as some have been known to do (amazing!).
INTERIOR: The Blue Cloth interior is in near excellent condition. There is no bolster wear on the seat corners, separated seams, or soiling. Factory Blue Corvette Floor mats are present to preserve the stock-original carpet with no heal-pad wear etc. As these photos will attest, the interior is exceptional in all respects. No broken or missing plastic trim. Leather steering wheel looks new. All gauges/instrumentation are bright and function as they should. No missing or broken interior trim parts evident.
MECHANICAL: The original L-48 350ci (190hp) engine starts, runs, and drives as it should. No unusual sounds, odors, fluid leaks etc. The engine bay is clean and all original in all respects needing only a light detail to be perfect. 4 Speed manual transmission works flawlessly in all detents delivering its expectant power to the wheels. Corvette alloy wheels were an upgrade and do not exhibit any curb-scrape or wear. Tires are have excellent tread life left. The original tires were replaced with B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A's to match their OEM tires at the 24k mileage point. This runs and drives tight as it was when new.
The undercarriage is in exceptional condition with no rust. None! The only maintenance issue is ONE tailpipe has small holes that will require replacement at some point, but as these are not readily visible or detract from its performance, I have been reluctant to alter it in any way in my ownership.
I've affectionately referred to this as my "Great White" for its obvious styling cues.
This car attracts a crowd seemingly wherever it goes and I've had many offers to buy it but always said no until now as I find myself at an age where we need to downsize. Even still its a reluctant sale. No trades please.
Old Car Price Guide shows value at $22,000.00.
My asking price is $25,000.00. After a thorough review, think of the money you won't have to spend to make one nice. Please bring all offers.
