2003 Chevrolet Corvette -50th Anniversary 825 HP Dragon Racing

This 2003 50th Anniversary Corvette has been fully customized to make it the one of a kind beauty it is today. It is anniversary red with custom ghost flames that stretch from the hood along the body of the car. Silver 50th anniversary badges adorn this car everywhere you look on the exterior and throughout the engine compartment. An ACI rear sport wing, fender vent grills, a functional Z06 air duct and front grill finish off the exterior of this car. On the bottom of the hood, in the engine compartment, on the jambs of the Lamborghini doors, on the bottom of the trunk and on the nitrous bottle in the trunk you will find a custom silver and blue checkered flag design that compliments the ghost flames. When the hood, doors and trunk are open the effect is a waterfall styled scheme that is truly magnificent and draws people from a block away. The interior is Shale in color with the 50th anniversary emblem embroidered on the seats as well as a custom checker flag design that perfectly compliments the custom paintwork. There is an A pillar gauge pod with a vacuum/boost gauge and a fuel pressure gauge as well as an ashtray mounted XM receiver and a trunk mounted 12 disc CD changer. The seats have the original factory seat belts as well as 5 point shoulder race harnesses with camlocks and chrome roll bars. The engine compartment is fully decked out with the matching paint and every chrome engine part available. The heart of this beast is a brand new performance built LS2 that boasts 825 engine horse power (643 rear wheel horse power) on pump gas. Just in case that isn’t enough ponies for you there is another 75hp available with the dry nitrous kit. The performance modifications were all handled by Dragon Race Engineering (www.Dragonrace.com) who specializes in finding the potential in late model Corvettes. The engine is a Dragon 402R supercharged motor with a 9.5:1 compression ratio that is capable of 1000HP. The block is a GM LS2 with a forged 4” stroke crankshaft that has Manley H-beam rods, diamond forged dished racing pistons, Dragon stage 3X cylinder heads (with Manley 2.08/1.6 Pro Flow valves), Nextek .650 lift dual springs, titanium retainers, Cometic MlS head gaskets, ARP head studs, HVHP Dragon oil pump, clevite coated bearings, Dragon billet custom camshaft (236/240 115 .601/.608), GM 1.7 roller rockers, billet double row timing chain and all of this is completely blueprinted. Other notable features include the 8 rib supercharger drive upgrade with ATI balancer and a Dragon dual pump fuel system (good to 1000hp). The new engine has less than 100 miles on it with a good chunk of that being used while the car was dyno tuned. The transmission is a Stage 5 build with a billet servo, an upgraded pump, Blueplate frictions, an upgraded valve body, an upgraded planetary and cryo treated input and output shafts. The torque converter is an ATS with a 2800 stall. The brakes were upgraded with ceramic Extreme Performance brake pads, front and rear Eradispeed rotors, Corvette stainless steel brake lines and calipers that have been painted to match the body color. The custom built chrome Imola rims have a staggered fitment with 19’s up front and 20’s on the rear that are all wrapped in Yokohama AVS Sport Extreme Performance tires. You will also find a Corsa cat back stainless steel exhaust system, a custom 3:15 rear gear ratio, custom painted front & rear sway bars, adjustable drag shocks and a lower radiator for direct inlet to the Supercharger. This is a complete custom car built by Dragon Race Engineering that is documented as Dragon serial # F-00036-402S-1206. It is currently 1 of only 17 documented cars that carry the coveted F designation in the serial number. Over $120,000 in receipts went into the build of this awesome Corvette.
