| The C2 Corvette Sting Ray was first introduced in 1963 and not only had a completely new design but was also much lighter giving it a newfound handling prowess. The 65 was further cleaned up style wise and benefitted from an all new braking system and was available with a 425hp V8. This particular example is equipped with the highly desired 396ci / 425hp power plant as well as an M-20 4 speed transmission. This engine was only available in 1965 and only 2,157 cars were ordered with this option. It is estimated that only 246 were produced in Maroon with a 4 speed. It is completely numbers matching and has 55,539 original miles. It was factory optioned with the C&C package (no glare mirror & back-up lamps), a wood steering wheel, Quick take off wheels, tinted glass, PB AM/FM radio, 775x15 2 ply gold side wall tires, side dual exhaust, a transistorized ignition, vacuum power brakes, a positraction rear end with 4:11 gears and the SPL suspension eq. The current owner purchased it from Pro Team in 2009 and we have all of check lists that were provided to verify the numbers as well as a paperwork showing this mileage to be correct. It is a gorgeous Milano Maroon and was repainted to factory specs about 8 years ago using the correct lacquer paint which still shines like new. The current owner has spent over $8,000 to make this a Top Flight NCRS car in addition to making a few improvements which include a correct Harrison radiator, correct hoses and clamps, new rear springs and bushings as well as new front sway bars and bushings. He was going to have it judged but has not been able to make the time to do so. Included you will find all of the judging manuals and you will find that considerable time and money has gone into securing all of the needed items to ensure a very high score with this car. Not only that but you will also provide with two 3” 3 ring binders that hold documents verifying the car and documenting its past.
