For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a two-owner C3 1978 Chevrolet Corvette. This 3rd generation Corvette is powered by a ZZ4 350 CID GM Crate V8 engine, which produces 350 horsepower. The 350 3-speed automatic transmission takes the power from the ZZ4 V8 and puts it to the real wheels with ease. Options for this 1978 Chevrolet Corvette include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio, CB Radio (inoperable), T-Tops, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Locks, Power Windows, Tilt/Telescopic Wheel, Seat Belts, Leather Interior, Raised White Letter Radial Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. Headers flow to the new stainless steel exhaust and run to the Borla mufflers in the rear of the car, which provide enhanced performance and a great sound. The Corvette received a much needed face lift in 1978, the 25th anniversary year for the Corvette, and the 10th year of the C3 or 3rd generation. Due to the 25th anniversary year, all 1978 Corvettes received silver anniversary nose and fuel door emblems. The most notable change was the new fastback rear window. The fixed fastback rear window provided greater aerodynamics and more cargo/storage room behind the seat, not to mention better visibility in the rear of the vehicle. The Interior saw a few upgrades as well. The door panels were redesigned, and an actual glove box was added on the passenger side of the dash, which replaced the map pockets that were in the same position on previous models. The speedometer and the tachometer were redesigned to match the center console gauges that were introduced in 1977. Some new options were available in 1978 as well, power locks, dual rear speakers, power antenna, and a CB radio, all of which are present on this particular 1978 Corvette.
