This one owner 1979 Chevrolet Corvette is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The base L82 version of the 1979 Corvette had a 5.7-liter V8 that made 225 hp. While the Horsepower is not great by today’s standards, Chevy sold a scandalous 53,807 Corvettes during the 1979 model year. So this is the best-selling Corvette ever made. This particular T-Top Corvette is a true survivor car from this era. Owned since new by the same couple, this car only has 19738 original miles on it. The 350 cid engine and turbo 350 3-speed automatic is the original drive train to this unique find. The paint code and trim code indicate the correct original color, white with Navy Blue leather seats and the other associated interior pieces. The paint does show its age but that is the desirability of these survivor cars. Untouched, un-restored cars that have simply been maintained through the years are growing in popularity. This ’79 Vette still retains the factory AM/FM radio. The AC system is intact, but the seal will need to be replaced. It will only hold Freon for a few days.
