The C2 corvettes were produced form 1963 to 1967. The 1963 Corvette Sting Ray not only had a new design but also newfound handling prowess. The Sting Ray was also a somewhat lighter Corvette so acceleration improved despite unchanged horsepower. In 1964 Chevrolet changed the coupe's back window to a backbone window, the two simulated air intakes were eliminated from the hood and the decorative air exhaust vent on the coupe's rear pillar was made functional on the left side. Chevrolet also added more sound insulation and revised the body and transmission mounts for the 1964 Corvette. The result was a more drivable car for everyday transportation. This particular example was optioned with the L75 300 HP 327 CI V8, M35 Powerglide tranny, A02 Soft Ray Tinted Glass, G81 Positraction, J50 Power Brakes, N40 Power Steering and U69 AM/FM Radio. This car was restored about 15 years ago at which time it was repainted in its original color of Silver Blue (912) and has only been driven 15,629 miles since. During the restoration the date code correct engine was rebuilt as was the numbers matching tranny and posi rear end. The original AM/FM radio was replaced a few years ago with a Custom Autosound retro fit stereo and 4 new speakers that sound great. The car is well above average and everything is working as it should including the clock. Based on its present condition we would appraise this classic at $54,799. We know the market is soft and are anxious to sell it so we have priced the car accordingly. If you could see yourself cruising in this beauty you better pick up the phone before it’s too late!
