Thanks for taking a look at our 1969 Chevrolet KingsWood. Given a mild redo at 50 years young, she’s ready to cruise to the shows and do so in style with Nine aboard. At some point in her life, a nose job was ordered. Keen observers of the Chevrolet brand will note that the front fenders, grill and bumper are from a 1970 model. We’re not sure who, why or when, but it looks cool.
The KingsWood was top of the line for Chevrolet and sported generous options. This model closely resembled its Impala cousins with sleek lines and minimal chrome and eschewing the acres of faux woodgrain paneling found on the Kingswood Estate models. If you wanted an Impala but needed a long roof, the KingsWood was the way to go.
We’ve also taken a little liberty with our interpretation of the Kings Wood. The logos are vinyl and can be removed.
Rarity
She wasn’t all that rare back in 1969 but today, 50 years later, she gets tons of attention just because big, cool and comfortable wagons are not so big, cool or comfortable anymore. Being the top of the line meant the Kingswood was the Cadillac of wagons in 1969.
Exterior
Metallic Black two stage paint. Clear over color. Color sanded and polished to a deep lustre, the paint sparkles with lots of fire. Excellent panel fit, proper gaps. Trim in fair to good shape though one could be replaced. Custom logos. Fender skirts fitted. See the pictures and the video.
Interior
Factory Black with Slate Gray inserts in an ostrich skin pattern. Could be real ostrich, we’re not sure. Power windows, tilt steering, power brakes. Wood Steering Wheel. Bluetooth audio with USB for your tunes. 6 way power seat needs attention. Push button start. Kill switch. NINE passenger seating with folding, rear facing 3rd seat. Fresh weatherstrips. Dual swing tailgate opens flat or from the side for easy passenger loading. Power rear window. Sweet longboard keychain.
Wheels, Tires
The buyer is welcome to choose either tire package. Both sets of wheels are preowned.
Currently mounted on the driver side are a set of original Cragar wheels with whitewall tires in the lowrider style. We have all four wheels with caps, lugs etc.
Currently on the passenger side are a set of chrome wire wheels and larger standard size tires. Chrome spinners included.
Engine
350 CID Chevrolet V8 sporting a freshly rebuilt Holley carburetor, Edelbrock manifold, Accel HEI distributor and wires. New starter, fresh tune. Dual exhaust with side dumps. Power steering. California Smog EXEMPT.
Transmission
Automatic transmission.
Braking, Suspension
Power assisted front disc,and rear drum brakes.
Trim
The trim is in good to excellent shape. See pics and video.
Glass
Glass is in good condition throughout. Power windows including Power tailgate window.
Odometer
The odometer shows 04000 miles. This mileage in not accurate due to the limitations of the odometer. Our bill of sale says it is 104,000 and the overall condition supports the mileage.
DMV / Documentation
The California title is clear and clean. Two California license plates. Registration is current with no back fees. The car is insured as a classic.

These family haulers used to be in every driveway but time, eastern rust and changing tastes saw many of them meet the crusher and/or the Demolition Derbies (due to their strength).
