1962 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe

The 1962 Impala full-size cars got a cleaned-up, squared-off restyling and featured a trailing body crease line. Ads positioned Impalas at airports under the theme "Jet-smooth Chevrolet" lauding their "room, zoom and a road softening ride" as well as the smooth new shape. Continuing their role as the posh Chevrolets, Impalas wore full-length upper body side moldings (with contrasting-color inserts), ribbed body sill moldings, stainless steel window reveal trim and special rear-fender script. Each Impala model had its own distinctive roofline including the sport coupes which got convertible like rear roof creases while new inner fenders protected against rust. This Impala has its original 327ci / 350 hp engine that was completely rebuilt 2 years and 5,000 miles ago. At the same time the turbo 350 tranny was rebuilt as well. The engine runs perfectly and the tranny shifts effortlessly. This beauty also comes with power steering, power brakes and a/c that blows ice cold. The interior was replaced about 10 years ago and shows quite well as does the paint that which was redone at the same time. The chrome and trim work is all present and in good overall shape. The fender skirts and brackets are included although they are shown in the photos. This car has been regularly serviced and has received a list of service items in the last few years including a new battery, 215/70R14 white wall tires, Flowmaster exhaust and an Edelbrock carb.
