I have owned the vehicle since May of 2006 when I purchased it from the last owner who said he purchased the vehicle in 2005 in Indianapolis Indiana and drove it to NY where it sat parked until I purchased it..
My beautiful 1968 Impala Sport Coupe is powered by the original numbers matching 327 that has been professionally deck honed, balanced and blueprinted with new internals bored .30 over to 331 cid (reetaining original stamping numbers)has had a 3 angle valve job at 124,777 miles($4800 without labor) - backed by a custom built Stage 2 700R4 Overdrive Transmission with a shift kit($3500) and dash mounted B&M Lock up control unit($195), the rear end is a 10 bolt open differential with 3.36 gears. Complete 2 1/4" dual exhaust in 2008($580.00). Over $ 10k invested in engine and transmission alone .Wheels are 15x7" and 15x8" Ralley with Cooper Cobras. Suspension has been redone with poly/graphite bushings Rear sway bar, tubular tortion bars, new springs and shocks. Chassis was sanded and painted in 2009(over $4000 investment ). Interiors been customized with Leather Firebird Seats drivers is power 8 way, Custmized and modified a Camaro center console Factory Formula Shifter with T-Handle grip.It has factory disk brakes from a 70 Impala , Factory AC converted to 134-A with all new hoses receiver/dryer, POA Value, expansion valve and modern couplings .Full guage set up, detachable face Panasonic CD player with remote, new dual coil front dash speaker -6x9" rear deck speakers , Dual 12 power jacks and cup holders Newer carpet, new headlights harness and halogen sealed beam Sylvania lights, upgraded to 4 gauge alternator wire with custom built 110 amp single wire alternator. Customized Grant Steering Wheel to look like vintage wood wheel ..too much more to list. Car was painted Frost white ,finish baked on by a professional shop in 2011, it does need a new vinyl top and few little things like window sweeps and TLC , has minor rust on rear wheel wells . Car drives great lots of power , great cruiser . Was my daily driver until 2013, never driven in winter. Car is currently insured for $30k much more invested. It's all new underneath exceppt body mount bushings ( have will include)... I have kept almost all original parts can include if we work something out. Winning bidder is going to get an amazing car. This is one sweet Impala wheather you just want to cruise, take a road trip she cruises at 1800 RPM at 70 MPH , maybe your just into going fast while looking great the engine and trans are built to withstand it all with an estimated 365 HP and 425 LB FT of Torque she'll melt the rubber right off if that's your thing.I built her for comfort with some modern amenities inside and underneath and to turn heads which she always does. I can't tell you how many people stop me just to look and talk, and always get asked if I'll sell her.. Don't let the opportunity to be the coolest one on your block. I hate that I'm forced to sell my baby, she's my pride and joy.SOLD
