1939 Chevrolet Master DeLuxe Hot Rod
The 39 Master DeLuxe Business Coupe had essentially the same body as the 1937-38 models but was reworked just enough to give it a fresh look. The 1939 Master DeLuxe received a new front clip that gave it a distinct resemblance to the Cadillac. The big news for the 1939 Master DeLuxe was the new suspension system employing coil springs and wishbones. This Coupe has been modified like it would have been on a real 50’s Hot Rod. The heart of this sweet ride is the 1956 Corvette “Blue Flame” 235 I6 cylinder engine (casting number 3837004) with a mild cam that was bored .030 over. The engine is fed via a 4bbl Edelbrock 625 with a vacuum secondary and a Clifford high performance intake which all aid to the killer rumble generated by the Tree headers and 2” exhaust. The power is smoothly distributed by a 4 speed transmission hooked up to a 9” rear end. Other goodies worth mentioning are the Tuff Stuff chrome alternator, braided lines and the chrome engine dress up kit. It also has a new electronic ignition, radiator, springs, rear shocks, fuel tank and disc brakes. The heat and wipers do not work. Other than that everything functions perfectly including the high powered CD player and Alpine speakers. If you are looking for an all steel period correct Chevy Hot Rod with all the right options your search is over!
