One of THE best on the road…
One owner, 61K mile, 350 1976 Monte Carlo.
I can speak for the owner of this car as one the most fastidious car owners out there. Each of his other cars has won numerous awards at shows and Concourse d’Elegance’s throughout New England. This example of a 1976 Monte is no exception. It is very probably one the the best examples on the road today.
In May of 1976, he and two of his buddies all decided to head down to the local Chevrolet dealership and check out the new Monte Carlos. He had seen a photo of DeLorean standing in front of one, shirtless, in typical DeLorean style and said, I need one of those cars. The three friends all ended up leaving with one.
This particular Monte came in Firethorn Red, red vinyl interior, with the 350 2bbl and TH350 automatic transmission, power brakes, power windows, power steering, tilt wheel, A/C, single exhaust, rally wheels,rubber bumper guards and AM/FM radio.
She is in her original color but not original paint, she was resprayed several years ago when some body work was done to get rid of the tinworm. Both quarter panels were replaced at that time.
After 40 years of ownership, he simply feels its time to move her out of the garage. Maybe his wife of more than 50 years has a little to do with moving this beauty on. He did just bring an older lady in, an XK150, so, room needs to be made.
This car is in absolutely top notch shape. Easily a 1 on the Old Cars scale of 1-6. I would say flawless. I'm sure there is one or two here or there and I'm also sure the owner can point them out.. not too many others would be able to though.
Starts and run excellent, drives well, stops with no issues. This car is ready to enjoy, take to shows and win.
