1971 Chevrolet Nova

For sale 1971 Nova Drag car/ pro street car. This is pump gas turnkey car. Gas and go. I started building this car in 2001 and finished it spring of 2008. The car has a total of 15 (1/4 mile) passes on it in its life time. I have all the time slips. The best time the car had was a 11.082 seconds @ 121.30MPH with a 1.495 60 foot time, at Bandimere Raceway in Morrison Colorado, elevation 5800ft. NHRA corrected ET is 10.688 @ 128.13 MPH. The Motor puts out about 700 hp and 500 + foot pounds of torq through the rpm band. Bandimere tecked me down to 11 seconds, should have been 10, however I didn’t have the SFI numbers for the flywheel and balancer with me at that time.
• Motor is a 502 short block with AFR 325 cc heads milled down to yield 9.5 compression.
• Isky custom solid roller cam and red zone lifters, with comp cams pro mag roller rockers.
• Vic Jr intake topped off with a custom Pro systems HP1000 carb.
• MSD pro billet dist (locked) with MSD 6AL control box
• Weiand aluminum water pump, 2 row aluminum rad, aluminum catch can.
• Hooker super comp headers with dynomax race mufflers.
• Full mallery fule pump with return style regulator, huge inline filter, 10an braided Stainless steel for main feed and return lines. 20 gallon fuel cell with sending units.
• The Transmission is a 400 turbo trans built with a manual valve body standard shift pattern. I have a Redneck performance torq converter that claims it’s a 4000 stall, I don’t think it is though, I think it is lower. It also has a BM trans cooler. BM shifter
• Custom aluminum drive shaft with the large U joints
• The car is 4 linked with coil overs (qa1 coil overs) comp engineering front shocks adj
• 4 wheel disc brakes power, front 1 inch drop spindles, line lock, quick time pro 28x14.5x15 weld pro stars rims, electric vacuum pump, and power master cylinder with small brake booster.
• Roll cage, kirkey aluminum racing seat.
• March serpentine belt system, 100A 1 wire alt.
• Car has carpet and new door panels, weather stripping, head liner, steering wheel.
• 9 inch rear end 3:70 gears with a locker.
