1978 Chevrolet Stepside Silverado 4x4

Original 1978 1/2 Chevy K-10 4x4 stepside. I don't know how many they made but I rarely see them driving or for sale, especially un-molested. This pickup has a nice body, runs nice, and has very very little rust. The drivers floorboard has a small rust spot that could be repaired pretty easily with a patch panel. The passenger floor is solid and has a little pitting started. I wouldn't even touch that unless your doing a high-end restoration, but it's your call. The cab corners, supports, and floor supports are fine. Passenger front fender has rust starting in the low rear corner. The rest of the body is real dry. Paint looks original and is maroon in all the jams, etc. No filler. Drivers door needs a lower hinge pin and a little adjustment. I may get to that in the next couple days. All doors open/close properly, and the hood and tailgate do too. Clear title. V8 which is probably a 350 and looks original. I can check the numbers if you want. Runs nice. No blowby, knocks or ticks. No smoke. Runs smooth and cool. Gauges work and it has very good oil pressure. Choke works and secondaries work fine on the carb too. It hasn't been on the road regularly for a few years. I would do the normal tuneup stuff and fluid changes but it doesn't necessarily need that. Brakes work fine. Heater and lights work. A/C belt is off. 4-speed shifts good. Nothing weird with the transmission or clutch. Shifts smooth. Transfer case and 4x4 stuff works. Tires are not good. It drives ok and the frontend feels tight but it needs tires. It looks lifted, and it could be, but it has no blocks in the front so if it's lifted they must have got new springs in the front and it was done a long time ago. Doesn't look so good with the 235 tires on it lol, but I think it would look good with larger tires. This has part time 4x4, not full time. I'll have interior pics tomorrow. Interior has the usual wear but the original seat is in ok ok shape. I think this truck could have been special ordered but I don't know. The truck has chromed steel running boards and rear bumper which were probably dealer added when new or custom built. I don't think they've made them like that for a long time.
