1952 Chevrolet Styline Deluxe Sport Coupe

The Deluxe is a trim line of Chevrolet�s that were marketed from 1941 to 1952. The original series ran from 1941 to 1948. The 2nd generation was released in 1949 and featured five �teeth� in the front grill and round parking lights in the center on each side. The teeth were removed for the 50 & 51 modes and returned in 1952. In 1951 the parking lights were moved to the bottom corners and they were made larger in 52. The Deluxe models were also upgraded with a 235ci �Blue Flame� straight 6 and this one was optioned with a column-shift 3 speed manual tranny and a 10 bolt rear end with a 3.55:1 gear ratio. Approximately 10 years ago this one was restored during which time the interior was redone, much of the exterior trim was removed, the rest was refinished and the rust free body was stripped bare before being painted in this gorgeous Kandy Green Metallic paint that just sparkles in the sun. At the same time it was converted to a 12 volt electrical system with an alternator. The vehicle had just barely turned 100,000 miles and the original �Blue Flame� engine still ran strong so the previous owner went through the engine inside and out without boring the cylinders. It was upgraded with a Fenton dual carb intake and dual carbs as well as a Fenton performance exhaust manifold and it sounds amazing ripping through its performance dual exhaust. It also received all new brakes, shocks and some killer wide whitewall tires. The interior received new Ivory vinyl upholstery on the seats, the metal parts were all painted cream and the door panels were both upholstered white and cream. It was named �The Green Hornet� which you can see on the glove box. This is tied in nicely with some sweet color coordinated pin striping all of which is on top of the clear coat so that it could be removed if desired. All said and done close to 30K was spent making this beauty what she currently is which did not include the cost of the original car.
