1968 Chrysler Imperial
This is a two-door 1968 Crown Convertible, green in color. My Grandfather acquired this car from his mistress. Apparently she had bought the car from a dealer with the understanding that it was a new car and had never been wrecked. Shortly after purchasing it she noticed a car similar to hers in a T.V. series, I believe it was called the “Bold Ones”. In which Buryl Ives drove a green crown convertible. Next she saw a car like hers in the “Big Bounce”. In this movie the car driven by Leigh Taylor and Ryan Oneal crashes into the back end of a beach buggy. Not wanting to have bought a used car she took it to a body shop that confirmed it had indeed been repaired. She stored the car, won a suit against Chrysler, received a new car and some cash, and squandered her money. Sometime after that my grandfather who had a love for Chrysler products discovered it in her barn. This is a California car and has almost no rust and everything is original except the carburetor + hub caps and everything is there.
The body is in good condition just one little ding on the front bumper plus a few little spots of rust under the back bumper and some starting on the frontbumper and an easy fix ding on the front center of the hood. besides being in movies and T.V. shows it also has another rare option, the TNT package which gave the motor i think 360 horses. this TNT package came with a dual snorkle airfilter and dual exhaust. the exhaust pipes have some rust on them though. because it was wrecked in the movie the
