1968 Datsun 2000 Roadster SRL311, 5 speed.
I replaced the original 2000cc engine with the newer SR20DE Nissan twin cam engine and transmission. Drives extremely smooth. I drive it approx 300 miles per year. Lots of care went into the car. Heater and defroster serviced, including new brakes, shoes and wheel cylinders. New radiator, clutch, alternator, starter and exhaust system. I used the motor mount and alternator mount kits from Spriso Motorsports. Engine, transmission and computer came from an S13 from Japan with 12K miles on it.
Car was bought new in Santa Anna, California and stayed in Southern California area until moving to Florida in 2007. Always garaged. AM radio works. All lights and indicators work. Paint is original and looks good for its age. Body is very straight with only a few small dents and dings. Rust in lower rear portions of rear wheel wells and behind left front wheel well on very bottom. Frame and floor panels are solid with no signs of rust. Chrome is bright except for license plate light housing and a couple of taillight rings that have pitting. Wheels and tires are excellent. Interior is like new except for cracks in top of dash. Seats and headrests have no tears. Seats were redone with diamond print black vinyl. Carpet and pedal pads have been replaced. Original 3-point seat belts and parcel straps are all there. Overall looks very stock. Never smoked in. New black convertible top installed May 2007.
Starts and drives great. Shifts smooth and all gears work great. Includes original owners manuals, keys, jack and tool kit. Original sales window sticker and black California license plate. This car also has the 160 mph speedometer and the 8,000 rpm tach. You can drive it home. I can also assist with shipping if needed.
