I bought this car when I was 16 and have been working hard to restore it for the past 9 years. The car runs great and is extremely fast and fun to drive. I’m incredibly sad to sell this car but I’m in graduate school now and need the money for tuition. I’m looking for a buyer that would take really good care of this beautiful car that I put my sweat and tears into and one who shares the same enthusiasm I have for Datsun Roadsters.
I completely rebuilt the engine, transmission, carburetors, clutch, and breaks in 2003. There is 7,000 miles on the new engine and the odometer reads 96,000 miles. Everything is stock and it has the original block. The drive train is in incredibly good condition. It has duel SU 46mm carburetors, a Servo Synchro Porsche manual transmission, and a 2000cc 4 cylinder engine. The car was rebuilt with the help of a local mechanic who specializes in Datsun Roadsters.
New safety features: roll bar, third break light, Simpson 5 point racing seat beats, and new engine firewall brace.
I completely reupholstered the interior with black leather seats and black carpet. It has the original AM radio, a new convertible soft top, a Nissan racing steering wheel, and the original stick shift knob. I have the front bumper, which is in great condition but needs to be re-chromed, which is why it’s not featured in pictures. The body is in great condition. It has 4 stock alloy wheels in great condition.
