1966 Dodge Charger $23,000 OBO Ė Dunlap, TN
For 1966 Dodge wanted a mid-size specialty car. By basing it on the all-new 1966 Coronet, but changing only the roof, deck lid, quarters and grille, Dodge developed one of the most handsome muscle cars of the 60ís. The charger was the gentlemanís hotrod with outstanding performance, but with all the comforts of a luxury car including standard features such as concealed headlamps, front and rear bucket seats with a full length console and a most unique dash board featuring high clarity back lighting at night and a large tachometer, clock and gauges.
The exterior of the charger has slick, glossy metallic silver paint with smooth quarters and other body components. It also has nice even body gaps, new chrome bumpers and all other bright work is in very nice condition. Glass is tinted and in good overall condition without chips or cracks, grille, emblems and other trim are also nice. Factory hubcaps are still in place and also like new with no curb rash. The tire size is 215/75/14 all the way around.
Interior is very nice with carpets, seats, door panels and headliner being free of any signs of wear to speak of with no rips or tears. The dash and console are also in good condition.
The engine compartment is fresh looking with components on firewall and inner fenders in their factory position. The big block 440 magnum engine runs smooth and pulls hard under acceleration. It sounds like music coming through its dual exhaust. The transmission is the desired torque flight 727 automatic.
Options consist of factory A/C, original AM radio still in place and power steering among others. Brakes are front disc and rear drum, underneath the car is original looking and very solid everywhere you look with no signs of rust.
