1926 Dodge Hearse Limousine |
|
This rare, 17-foot-long vehicle is original and never been restored. It has only had a single owner, the family of the funeral home. It has been stored indoors for the past seven decades. The vehicle is complete except for one window and few, if any, minor parts or trim pieces. The condition of the exterior and interior is rough but original, with surface rust. The wheels are artillery spoke. The body was constructed by E.M. Miller of Quincy, IL. It is a limousine style hearse with windows all around, and no carvings. This is a rare but rough vehicle, a good candidate for restoration. Family can't remember how the vehicle was titled 82 years ago. It was taken off the road after 11 years, so registration lapsed generations ago. Is on auction at Ebay beginning June 17 for 10 days.
