Good looking 1926 Dodge Brothers Series 116 Sedan.
It started its life in our family 46 years ago as a surviving Colorado car (think no rust) with all it parts and pieces. My Dad began giving it the love to bring it back to life. I watched as my dad re-ignited all the running gear from engine to brakes. The body and paint was hired out for a beautiful blue body and black fenders as originally done by the Dodge Brothers. While the body was in progress, so was my Dad hand refinishing the wooden military wheels with careful sanding and glossy coatings. Finishing touches included rear mounted spare, motometer, window visor, cowl lights and front bumpers options. All original to the first buyer. About 15 years later, the car was refreshed with another engine and repainted. The car has lived its entire life in the dry climates of Colorado and Idaho. It has always been under cover, be it blanketed under a carport or in a garage. It has been garaged for the last 20 years.
Exterior: Looks great and turns heads with its clean and glossy finish. There are some chips in the paint and very very little rust. An 8 inch gap in the roof where the material has separated from the frame exists, but the roof does not leak.
Interior: Very good. Seats are clear of tears, dash looks great and original floorboard wood. Rear seat is roomy and like a couch. A heater was installed for my Mother to be warm on the cool days.
Mechanical: Consistently starts up, runs and drives nicely. Brakes work as well. All for the voltmeter, the gauges work. It has been reliable and I have never been stranded.
Other: Always covered in dry climates, original mechanics shop manual, no aftermarket parts, extra parts (block, fuel tanks, and gaskets).
