For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1936 Ford Window Coupe. This is an older build that still runs with the best of them. Turned into a street rod in 1979 and well cared for and upgraded throughout the years. Painted with DuPont Chroma base and a Teal-Effect, this one stands out and has to be seen in person to fully appreciate. American Eagle polished aluminum wheels with chrome center caps give this car a fresh look. Some of the equipment on this steel '36 Coupe that impress include power windows, power seats, power rear rumble seat, keyless entry via electric door poppers, Vintage Air air conditioning, cruise control and a tilt steering column. The front suspension is a Mustang II unit that consist of rack and pinion steering for a more modern feel, upper and lower control arms and front disc brakes. The rear has Posies Super Slide Springs. Powering this classic street rod is a great sounding Ford 289 V8 from an early Mustang. The engine bay is finished off nicely for a show car. Polished aluminum valve covers and air cleaner. Keeping the engine cool is accomplished by a Walker radiator and an electric cooling fan that is thermostatically controlled. Inside is a well designed interior. VDO Gauges, custom built console, custom dash, gear indicator, power window and climate controls. This street rod is ready to continue to the next show or cruise night.
