1939 Ford Deluxe 4 Door Convertible

If you have been looking for an unmolested, all steel 39 Ford Sedan Convertible your search is over! Enthusiasts of American cars from the 30’s know that 1939 was the year that Ford introduced hydraulic brakes. Other improvements for the 39 model included a larger frontal area for the radiator to improve cooling to the 221ci 85hp V-8 and the engine was upgraded with larger bearings and a heavier crankshaft that now drove the engine fan. All Deluxe models received sleek new frontal styling as well as a much higher level of trim. For obvious reasons they are called Fat Fendered Fords which are some of the most memorable, fun to drive and downright beautiful classics ever. Most of these have been chopped, channeled, nosed or decked but not this beauty! This particular example was frame off restored about 20 years ago and has held up incredibly well. Within the last 5 years it has received a new top, new tires, new brakes, new running board covers and new carpeting. Additionally, the wood grain dash and door sills were refurbished and the bumpers were re-chromed. It is a completely numbers matching car and retains its original color of Desert Sand. In fact the only items on this vehicle which are not correct are the battery, the electric fuel pump and the period correct blinkers. The overall condition of this vehicle is a very solid #2 car which we would appraise at $57,050. We know the market is still somewhat slow and have priced the car accordingly for a quick sale.
