| 1959 Edsel Villager -6 passenger model . I was driving this car until a few weeks ago but after big rainstorms only starts and turns over after boost. Not sure why, but I think it’s minor. Could be a short on wire to alternator. But close to being a good driver. Automatic transmission. 31,280 original miles. Supercool combo of President Red and Snow White but needs paint job, rust on top, some on sides, but underneath clean. The story I heard was that the car was stored in a barn in Nebraska (I have a photocopy of Nebraska title) and there were leaks in the roof. Most everything original. Interior (front) has some rips, but can be repaired. Back seat upholstery in very good condition. Needs new headliner (4 sections of headliner: 2 OK, 2 need to be replaced). Radio works, right signal not working. Not sure about wipers. My mechanic sent the fuel pump out to be rebuilt and told me wipers are OK, but I can’t get them to work. There is one small leak in roof of trunk area. Two rearview mirrors need glass. Driver’s side windows have cracks in glass but I’m including two extra doors that have replacement glass. Also extra back bumper, side panels and a few other parts included. One door hard to open and two doors sometimes hard to close. Latches have to be greased or replaced, etc. Alternator should be remounted and radiator tightened. Overall this is a solid car. Previous owner installed new brakes: new master cylinder, new brake lines, new brake shoes. He also cleaned fuel tank and replaced float. Great for skilled hobbyist who loves to do his own work. If you send out like I did (two left thumbs) almost ready for cruising. I have put about $1000 into this car since buying it off of Ebay for more than my asking price including new battery, fuel pump, other work. One tire low might have to be replaced. SOLD |
