1949 Ford F1 1/2 Ton Pickup

The first generation of F Series trucks was introduced by Ford in 1948 and was sold through the 1952 model year. The F series was the first post-war truck design from Ford which replaced the pre-war designed trucks. It boasted a flat one piece windshield, integrated headlamps and a wider body. This particular example is a 2 owner pickup that has been owned by the 2nd owner since 1971. It currently has 72,560 original miles and was optioned with the passenger side tail lamp and finished in Colony Blue. Approximately 15 years ago it was repainted in black, the seat was recovered in black and new grey carpeting was installed. It currently has 15” rims with hub caps and newer Firestone radials. The original 16 x 4.5 rims are included as well but will need new tires and hub caps. The 6 cylinder Flathead engine purrs like a kitten and the 3 speed manual shifts crisply. The car has been pampered since day 1 and is in perfect mechanical condition. We would classify this truck as a solid #3 vehicle and would appraise it at $25,200 based on the current N.A.D.A. values.
