1961 Ford Falcon Futura Custom

This is one of a kind 1961 Ford Falcon Futura. The exterior now has a show quality paint job. Most exterior trim has been removed, the gas cap has been removed from the tail panel, the fuel filler relocated into the trunk, and the tail panel has been smoothed. The car sits on 14 X 6 Magnum 500�s with like new 215-60 X 14 Kumho tires. There is room for at least 1 inch wider tires on the rear. The engine is a 1972 302. The engine is topped with a new (not rebuilt) Holley tri-power induction system, Blue Thunder intake manifold, new fuel log, new linkage and O�Brien Trucker finned aluminum air cleaners. Three Holley manual choke kits were needed to convert the primary carb to a fully functioning manual choke. The tri-power was installed about 3 years ago and has less than 1000 miles on it. The exhaust is handled with coated BBK shorty headers and dual exhausts. The stock radiator has been replaced with a larger radiator. The C-4 transmission shifts very softly with light throttle pressure and very firmly with a heavier right foot. The narrowed nine inch Ford rear was installed about 2 years ago. The rear is filled with a 3.50 center section, trac-loc and 31 spline axles. Front brakes are Granada disks, rear brakes are new (less than 1000 miles) 11-inch Ford Motorsports drum brakes. Both emergency brake cables have been replaced, and the master cylinder is a new 1978 Granada MC for manual disk/drum brakes. The stock front suspension and steering have been replaced with Granada type suspension and a MII rack and pinion system. The original Futura console sits in a custom interior. The front bucket seats have power lumbar adjustments, and the driver�s seat is full power. The seats are covered with gray tweed cloth with vinyl inserts. The door panels have been covered to match the seats. The rear package tray is covered in gray tweed cloth embossed with the Ford script logo. The headliner is gray vinyl to match the seat inserts. The black carpet matches the carpeting installed in the trunk. The battery has been moved to the trunk and is hidden behind a carpeted panel.SOLD
