1968 Ford Galaxie 500

For Sale: 1968 Galaxie 500, Runs Great built in Louisville Kentucky. $6,000

The engine is a 0.30 over 390 freshly rebuilt. I had the block gone threw and installed new cam bearings and brass freeze plugs. The heads were rebuilt with larger valves with new valve sleeves, new Lunati Springs to match the cam and roller rockers. The cam is a Lunati Voodoo 503/524 lift for low in torque and a Summit Racing Double Roller Timing chain. The block has all new crank bearings and rod bearings along with new flat top pistons, rings, oil and fuel pump. It has a new distributor that has been converted over to pertronix electronic ignition powered by the pertronix flamethrower coil. The spark plugs wires are new Accel wires with Motorcraft Sparkplugs. The exhaust has Maddog Headers fully ceramic coated running to 2 � exhaust pipe with Flowmonster one chamber mufflers. The front brake drums have been converted over to disk brakes using older model mustang rotors with S-10 calipers and pads, this brake kit was ordered from Scarebird classic brakes. The wheels are Foose Legends; 18� rear and 17� front with Riken Raptor tires. The tire sizes are 255/45Z/R18 rear and 235/45Z/R17 front. The wheels are in mint condition with less than 150 miles them as well as the tires. I have installed a new brake master cylinder, new belts, new hoses, new valve covers and breather. The interior has had minor changes such as new dash cover, new steering wheel, tachometer, oil and temp gauge. The seats need to be reupholstered, I have not had the time to do that. The rear differential is a ford 9� 275 gear. A 3.73 gear or higher will really wake this car up. I have done so much to this car I am sure that I�m forgetting something. The engine runs great and has a Holley 650 double pumper mounted onto a new Edelbrock performer intake. I do have the air conditioner, brackets and pulleys to go with the car; I did not reinstall them. I have hundreds of photos that I took during the teardown and rebuild of this car that can go with the car as well. This car will make a great project for someone that will take it to the next level. The body as far as I know is solid; I had not got that far in the project.
