The Torino line was produced by The Ford Motor Company between 1968 and 1976 and found its place in the intermediate category of vehicles. In pop culture it is synonymous with show Starsky and Hutch in which a 1974 model was driven. Named after the city of Turin in Italy it translates in Italian to Torino and is known as the Italian Detroit. The iconic look of the front grill along with the raised rear bumper give this Ford a retro look that is not often seen anymore. The metallic gold paint looks great in contrast to brown vinyl top. It's hard to believe by looking at the size of this car that it was considered to be mid-size at the time.Under the hood you will be very pleased to discover what is believed to be the original 351 Cubic Inch V8 that is nice and clean as are all of the electrical and mechanical components. In back of that is the 3-speed automatic transmission that shifts very nice and precisely. On the inside you will see the vinyl seats with plaid seating surface are indeed another retro throwback and look to be original and very nice. The dash features easy-to-read gauges and the mileage showing of 84,369 is believed to be actual and looks appropriate with the minimal wear of the interior. All sheet metal appears to be original and solid with no signs of damage or corrosion.
