1932 Ford Three Window Highboy Coupe for sale in our Detroit Showroom. This is not your typical ‘32 Ford by any means. With a vision of a completely one of a kind Deuce Coupe, man hours in the hundreds of thousands, and a build team full of award winners and Hall of Famers, this custom beauty was created over an 8 year period. A 1932 Ford Coupe is nothing new or different, but when you alter and customize nearly every single part of the car to this level, it becomes more a work of art than a street rod. To give you your first peek into the level of detail that went into this Highboy Coupe, consider this; the tires were smoothed and block sanded for 105 hours to eliminate any inconsistencies and remove all traces of brand, size, and DOT marks! To quote the Street Rodder Premium, Volume 3, Number 2 issue that this 1932 Ford was featured in, “The judges scored (this) car to a level incomprehensible to all but the greatest builders in the industry.” That is quite a compliment coming from the judging panel for the Ridler Award. Prestigious Awards include; The Great 8 Award, The Most Outstanding ’32 Ford at the 60th Annual Detroit Autorama, the American Eagle, and more! The display the car sits in has also taken home many awards and is absolutely stunning in its own right. This ’32 Ford for sale could easily have a book written about all of the subtle changes and improvements made, but here are the most noticeable body modifications. The hood has been lengthened over 10” which required a redesign of the entire cowl, grill shell, radiator, and of course a one off hood made of aluminum shaped to resemble a 1933 Ford hood . The roof has three inset coves. Why, you ask? Just so the roof is unlike any other 1932 Ford in the world. The wheel wells have been redesigned and reshaped so the center of the wheel is exactly in the center of the wheel well opening. The hood sides received coves that were cut in and then rolled on an english wheel, and fitted with custom one of a kind aluminum spears. Chip Foose designed and Dank Fink built the aluminum grill, which was then machine cut so that all bars were on the same angle. The deck lid corners were radiused, 2” was removed from the lower section of the body to give it a more defined “bobbed” look, and a pocket was inset into the body to allow the license plate to tuck away, completely out of sight. Quite possible the most amazing part of this Highboy for sale is the interior. From the waterfall seats, custom dash, gauges with little $100 bills floating in them, one off shifter bezel, molded fingertip door pulls, and spears to match the hood sides, the interior is truly a sight to behold. The oil pan, inspection cover, and transmission pan all flow seamlessly together and are painted in 10 different colors of Dupont Chroma Illusions to give it an “on fire” look. To keep the flow of the car, the same technique was used on the one off air cleaner housing. The air cleaner housing also received the three spears. All of the shapes and themes found in one place can be seen in several others to keep one seamless concept throughout. Over 325 polished and chrome caps, covers, and plugs were custom made to hide any bolt heads and nuts. The attention to detail on this car is second to none and simply cannot be covered in a few paragraphs. This 1932 Ford Highboy Coupe was taken to the limits of being customized, while still recognizable as a 1932 Ford.
