1970 Ford Maverick project car $6,500 OBO - Dunlap, TN
Here is a very rare find for 1970 Maverick fans. After being purchased new in 1970, the car was resold in 1971 with 5,900 miles on it with the intention of building a professional drag car. The car was never completely finished and was resold in the early 1980’s. It was resold again and assembled about 1984. The car was never raced but was taken to car shows and has won several winners plaques. It sat in a garage from 1989 until 2008 when the car was sold to its last owner who stored it the car in a garage again.
The car currently shows 5,995 miles. The Maverick has Mustang Mach I bucket seats but all other interior is original along with factory weather stripping and all looks new. There is a sun tach on dash.
The car is set up for an 8 cylinder engine, 4 speed transmission and has a 9” Ford rear end with traction bars. Roll bar comes with car but not installed. The hood scoop is functional and brakes are disc font and drum rear. Bright work, glass, grille, emblems, etc. all look like pa practically new car.
The car is complete less engine and transmission. I have available for sale a Ford motorsport crate engine, 302 CI with 340 HP with only 2,000 documented miles on it and everything is there you need for it. Carburetor, electronic ignition, coil, starter, exhaust manifolds, aluminum Ford valve covers, breather, etc. Also I have for sale a top loader 4-speed transmission that will work with it.
