For sale in our Fort Lauderdale showroom is a gorgeous 1931 Ford Model A Coupe. For years the Ford Model A has been the canvas of choice for hot rod builders. This 1931 for sale, however, maintains the beauty of the original. This 1931 A Coupe for sale was only one of a wide variety of styles of Model A, and boasts a rumble seat in the back. The Model A was the first Ford to use the standard set of driver controls with conventional clutch and brake pedals, throttle, and gearshift. This classic is powered by a water-cooled L-head 4-cylinder engine with a displacement of 201 cubic inches. The transmission is a 3-speed sliding gear manual with a single speed reverse. The Model A for sale has 4-wheel mechanical drum brakes stopping tube-style Firestone tires wrapped around original style spoke rims. This 1931 edition has the stainless steel radiator cowling and headlamp housings which were optional and not standard at the time. The black exterior mirrors the new black vinyl interior. The Model A has well represented in media of the era since it was one of the most common cars. Model kits are still available from hobby shops in the 2000s, as stock cars or hot rods.
